Introduction
Quantum objects display a behaviour that is in conflict with our daily experience of macroscopic things. We distinguish three common models that are often invoked to describe certain aspects of reality. These are the three models:
- Particles
These are typical macrocosm objects with a certain shape. Often these objects are represented by balls with exact boundaries. - Waves
They are a typical periodic phenomenon (mainly in context with the transport of energy) - Quantum objects
They are described as statistical and probability-based phenomena
This learning unit compares everyday experiences, like sitting on a bench or on a chair, with the energy that is typically for a quantum object.
