Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB) is an entity, established on July 1st 2013 of County Dublin VEC and Dun Laoghaire VEC. DDLETB provides education services and supports for children, young people and adults. Its administrative area covers Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown. The DDLETB has 35 schools under its patronage currently. 25 of these schools are at the post-primary level. The remainder of the schools are post leaving certificate course providers and primary schools.
The DDLETB is also joint patron of 17 community schools. One of these community colleges is Adamstown Community College, who is a partner in this application. The school is located in the outskirts of Dublin, in one of several newly developed satellite towns called Adamstown. The need for this new town arose due to the influx of immigrants into Ireland in the last 15 years.
